Position: Director of Security Operations
Location: 54 WEST 39H STREET, NEW YORK, NY 10018
Job Duties:
- Determine and define building security and protection objectives for clients.
- Formulate, design, revise or update facility-specific security operational plans for clients of the Company.
- Formulate and oversee tactical drills and exercises addressing security and safety emergencies for Company security agents or directed security agents, management, faculty and students, separately and jointly.
- Issue periodic reports and analysis regarding threats, needs, status and security operations to clients.
- Oversee clients information and security aspects.
- Participate in the training of security agents, allocate responsibilities and duties and conduct status and performance reviews to ensure correct and effective implementation of the operational plans.
- Develop periodical schedules of operation of security agents for clients.
- Provide supervisory support to security agents with respect to all professional security and protection matters.
- Conduct periodical performance reviews of security agents and submit recommendations to clients’ senior management.
- Interview and participate in training of new security agents.
- Brief clients’ management, faculty and students on all security and protection-related matters.
- Formulating and draft materials for clients’ management, faculty and students, respectively.
- Participate in establishing ongoing relationship with local and regional law enforcement units and agencies such as local police, community affairs officers and counter terrorisms units.
- Plan and oversee the installation of physical security measures which include, without limitation, cameras, vestibules, control rooms, doors, windows, frames, anti-blast film, public announcement systems, microphones, alarm systems, panic and alert systems, radio systems and computer systems.
- Maintain as well as plan and oversee the maintenance of physical security measures.
- Assist in the active preparation of management and Company documents, presentations and the establishment and implementation of Company policies.
May work remotely from home within the state of New York a few days per week.
Requirements:
- Masterof Law or related field
- 7 years of experience as a secret service agent and/or chief of security performing the following:
- Analyzing security threats
- Implementing counter-terrorism measures
- Conducting tactical drills and exercises
- Training security agents
- 3 years of experience as chief of security in governmental building leading and managing security of the building
* Experience may be gained concurrently either pre or post Master’s degree.
